GENERAL Attention ALL CSF MEMBERS! We will be taking a club picture on Friday at the beginning of lunch! If you want to be in the CSF Club picture for the yearbook, please come to Room P-10 at the beginning of lunch on Friday, March 19!
ALL CSF LIFE members, we will be taking a picture for the yearbook on Tuesday, March 23 right after school, in Room P-10! ALL CSF LIFE MEMBERS, BE THERE!
If you were chosen to have your parents fill out a SART Survey, please remember to bring your survey to your 2nd period teacher by this Friday.
The last session of Driver's Education will start next Tuesday, March 23. This is a mandatory meeting that starts at 12:05 at lunch in room P18. You do not have time to stop to get lunch. Come directly after 4th period. Bring a copy of the most current Driver's Education handbook. These are free and available at the DMV. There are about 10 more spaces in the class. You can sign up in room P18 at lunch this week.
ACTIVITIES Don’t stand in line: get your tickets early for the “Black Out Dance” on March 19th. Pre-sale tickets will be sold in the Yale office starting March 17, through March 19th at lunch and after school. Tickets are $6.00. Tickets may be purchased at the door also.
It’s here!! Clovis High’s Spring play “The Nerd” is open NOW!! This hilarious, inventive, and side-splitting show will be performed in the Dan Pessano Black Box Theater on the Clovis North campus. Seating is limited so get your tickets now! Tickets are available in the Yale office or online at www.cusd.com/tickets. Students are $8 and adults are $10. The show runs on March 18th-20th and 25th-27th. Don’t miss this wacky fun show!
Battle of the Bands is Back!!!! Participating bands will perform April 12 through April 16th. Please be sure to come out and show support for your favorite band.
Please mark your calendars for May 1st and plan to visit from 8:00 P.M. – 11:30 P.M. a “Caribbean Paradise” our Prom destination this year, which will take place at Holland Park West. Tickets for this magical evening will go on sale April 19th. The prices will be: $80.00 per couple (with Activities Pass $72.00) $40.00 per Single (with Activities Pass $ 36.00) Plan to purchase your tickets early because the price will go up the last day by $10.00, and tickets will not be sold at the door.
The Clovis High Annual Car Show is just around the corner. The car show will take place on April 9th during lunch. In order to participate in the car show you must pick up an application in Activities. Applications are due by March 19th by 3:00 PM. The categories for the car show include: Best Car, Best Truck, Chicks with Hot Wheels, Oldies but Goodies, Best Sound System. Don’t miss out enter today.
COUNSELING Seniors--the March Cougar Scholarship Bulletin is here! If you're planning to attend Willow International in the fall, their scholarship app is listed and due April 15. Other scholarships for this month are for students planning to pursue careers in education, law enforcement, agriculture; students of Italian, Hispanic, or Caribbean descent; students who have made a turn-around in their lives; students who believe they are one of the most outstanding all-around. All this and much more. Check out the bulletin in the Counseling Center and the website.
Juniors and Seniors: Interested in working in the medical field, Kaiser Permanente's Summer Youth Employment Program has ten full time summer internships. The pay is $8:00 per hour and students that are hired will work from June 21, 2010 to August 13, 2010. To qualify for the program students must demonstrate financial need to continue their education and or disadvantaged or underrepresented. Please see Mr. Ware for applications.
