Peer Counseling

 Serving our community is extremely important to our CHS Peer Counselors.  In December, 2016, our PC students visited Terry’s House, where they cooked a family-style holiday meal for over 75 people.
 

Welcome to Clovis High Peer Counseling! Let us know if we can help

The CHS Peer Counseling program consists of a group of students trained in intercommunication skills, providing free, one-on-one, CONFIDENTIAL, peer support to students. As peer counselors, we provide a supportive environment where students can openly talk about their feelings, thoughts, and concerns, and in turn, be provided with the tools needed to make solution-oriented decisions.  In addition, we provide referral information for students seeking professional or specialized help.

Ways to Contact Us:
1. Ask any teacher or school staff member for a Peer Counseling Referral Form.
2. Visit the Counseling Center and complete a Peer Counseling Referral Form.

3. Visit the Peer Counseling Advisor (Mrs. Salinas) in room N07.

If you are a STUDENT who would like to meet with a Peer Counselor, fill out the Peer Counselor Student Referral Form, and turn it into any support staff member on campus.  A Peer Counselor will be contacting you as soon as possible!

If you are a TEACHER who recommends a student meet with a Peer Counselor, please e-mail cassidysalinas@cusd.com with details, or feel free to print out and submit the attached Peer Counselor Student Referral form attached.
