Clovis High School is proud to offer its students a wide variety of academic club experiences on campus. Club experiences include CSF, National Honors Society, and much more.  If you are interested in taking classroom learning into the real world then you're in right place!

What is CSF?

California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a statewide organization to honor outstanding high school students.  As a scholarship society, its focus is rooted in foundations of academic achievement and community service.  Students must maintain rigorous eligibility standards each semester in order to qualify for membership.  CSF membership is recognized by institutions nationwide as an academic honor.  Seniors who meet eligibility requirements for four semesters may qualify for CSF Lifetime Membership, a prestigious academic achievement.  For more information, please visit the national CSF Website or our Clovis High CSF page >>

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. For more information visit the national NHS Website, or our Clovis High NHS page.

Academic Block C

In recognition of academic achievement, Clovis High School awards a Block “C” letter for the first semester of achievement with an accompanying “Lamp of Knowledge” emblem to eligible students each subsequent semester. To qualify for this honor, a student must have the following:

  1. A minimum weighted G.P.A. of 3.75 in his/her freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year
  2. Involvement in a co-curricular activity at Clovis High School
  3. Appropriate citizenship.

Students may apply for this award in September for recognition of the prior Spring semester and January for the preceding fall semester of each school year.

Applications are closed for this school year. To apply for recognition for Spring 2023, please check back in Fall 2023.

Once the application has been submitted, the information will be verified. Qualified students will receive an email with information about coming to the CHS campus and picking up their earned award in the Yale Office.

Students who qualify for the first time will receive their Block C. Qualifying students who already have a Block C will receive their academic lamp patch to adorn their Block C.
